This image first caught my eye because of all the intricate weaving in the piece. Yes, this style is becoming more and more popular, but there is something about the way the layers create their own shadows and even a circular tracing is adding into the mix.

This image was really inspiring to me. It made me think of when I was younger there was a house my mom and I visited that had lots and lots of glitter on the ceiling. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. This image definitely reminds me of that house and the sense of fascination and imagination I had at that time.

When looking for "unique lighting" I stumbled across this piece I thought it was really inspiring taking two pieces of "modernized nature" ex. Natural Light vs. Electrical Light and Natural Water vs. Purified Water and mixing the two together.

Looking at this piece I was intrigued by the number of shadows and patterns on the wall made from this lighting piece.

This example is not only a girl's dream, but the lighting in this setting is so perfect for not only the viewers shot, but the ambience of the moment this couple is sharing. It made me want to design a place that felt the same way simply because of the lighting.

This piece was really thought provoking. Taking a lighting structure which is normally raised above the table, and molding the two pieces together so that it appears under the table. It was a great innovation of the typical american dining room.

Last, but not least candle light is always so inspirational to me. It makes me appreciate natural lighting, but a more romantic setting. I think the shadows candles make are inconceivable. They are a great part of early american life, that I would never take away from current times. There is something about when the power goes out and all we can rely on is candlelight.
